  1. Oh my goodness! My stomach is hurting from laughing at Let’s Go Retro! I so enjoy that section of the show 🙂

Love the colours you have picked out for your Sister Bay shawl. I’m going to be casting on mine this week too. I’m going to use Chickadee in Franks Plum for the main colour and Slate for the border. I’ve got 3 skeins of each so I’m going to make the big version.

Your Fair Isle mitts are beautiful. So interesting to see comparison of before and after blocking. Magic 🙂

    • Yay! Work those stomach muscles!!! Glad I could make you laugh :D. I took a quick peek at some of the other patterns in the rest of that magazine……oh baby! Its gonna be good!!! 🙂
Oooo, Franks plum is one of my favorites, it will be beautiful with slate. Cant wait to see 🙂

Okay, so I’m a few episodes behind. I’m hoping to catch up today if at all possible. I love the Fair Isle mitts! I’ve never done Fair Isle simply because of the English knitting thing. I knit strictly Continental, so I’m not sure I could manage to do the other.

I always sew in my ends before blocking. Not sure why, but that’s just the way I’ve always done it!

I have never knit anything with KnitPicks yarn but I have spun up some of their roving. It’s not great, but it’s not too bad either. A bit odd feeling, I’m just not sure exactly how to describe it. I may have to give their yarn a chance though!!

I so love love love the Let’s Go Retro segment. That always cracks me up. I love finding old pattern magazines at flea markets and having myself a good laugh! By the way, did you know you can still get the King Size catalog? I used to order from it for my ex!!

Well, that was fun! Off to watch another episode while I work on my “coat of many colors” stashbusting spiral sweater! Have a great day!!
