Episode 5 Plant Fibers
To watch Episode 5 of Knitting Dish podcast, click here.
It has been a busy week! I have a few things here to show you and lots of sample plant fiber spinning to talk about. I put the spinning at the end of the show for those of you who are just interested in the knitting portion. Enjoy!
Head on over to the Knitting Dish Ravelry Group and join in! You can post a photo of your finished projects here.
The thread will close on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Get your projects up by then to be eligible for the drawing.
My finished items will be donated to the Maine Mitten Project. You can check out this link to their blog and send yours into them or feel free to donate them to a local charity or someone in need.

I attended the second week of my three week spinning class “Spinning Beyond the Basics” at The Merry Tweede. This week we had 9 different types of fibers to spin: soy silk, bamboo, ramie, tencel, bleached flax, pill bottle cotton (yes, that’s right!), silk noil, Tussah silk and a cotton puni.
